Study confirms Canadian tanker safety

A new study, released late in June 2013, by IHS CERA, Assessing Marine Transport for Canadian Oil Sands on Canada’s West Coast, highlights Canada’s extensive experience safely moving oil to and from Canadian ports via tanker.   With nearly a century of experience and thousands of tanker visits to the east and west coasts each year, marine oil transportation in Canada has a well-developed regulatory regime for safe tanker operations.
